Taper exists to read your training honestly, and that only works if we treat your data honestly too. This page says what we collect, why, and what control you have. The short version: we collect what the product needs, we sell nothing, and you can delete everything yourself.

What we collect

Your email address and name, used to sign you in and identify your account. Your activity data (runs, laps, heart rate, pace and related metrics) imported from Strava or Garmin when you connect them. Training plans, workouts and notes you create in Taper.

What we use it for

To run the product: building your plan, computing predictions, thresholds and trends, and showing you your own history. Sign-in emails are sent through our email provider. We do not run ads, we do not sell or share your data with advertisers or brokers, and we do not use your data to train third party models.

Where it lives

Your data is stored on Taper's own server. Connections to Strava and Garmin use the credentials or authorisations you grant and are used only to import your activities and, where enabled, send planned workouts to your device.

Your control

You can disconnect a provider at any time from your Profile. You can delete your imported data, or your whole account, from Profile; deletion is immediate and removes your data from the live database. If anything is unclear or you want a copy of your data, email info@taperapp.co.uk.

Cookies

Taper uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app, not bury it.

Do the work. Earn the taper.
